Our history
Valmec Srl was born on the 13rd September 2010 to continue the business of Meccanica Valbona Srl, at that time part of Cassina- Poltrona Frau group (Meda-MB). Since the nineties the company produces metallics parts of furniture, frames of chairs and sofas, iron objects of design for Cassina and the related company.
After the 2008-2009 crisis, that affect also the furniture and design, the Cassina group decide in 2010 to interrupt its production in Scalve Valley.
The managers of the company were at that time Forcolini Francesco, director of Meccanica Valbona and sales director of Design; Angelo Boni, technical Manager; Giudici Donato and Cividini Lorenzo, manager of the agricultural sector. They create Valmec, together with the associate and financier Piantoni Alfredo and his society Finpia Srl, to continue the industrial experience that was started by Meccanica Valbona and has been carrying on for two decades.
Valmec continues his production of metal components for the Cassina group and of knives for the agricolture, even if with a reduced structure.
In 2011, the company Moreschi buys from Valmec its first building in Località Ponte Formello 13A. The need of more space for Moreschi’s production is continuously growing and the company starts a negotiation for the Finpia’s buildings that are used by Valmec, but Moreschi also sense the potential and the synergy that could be created between the two activities.
The 16.04.2020 Moreschi buys from Finpia the territory and the buildings located in Località Ponte Formello 13A and the 25.05.2020 buys the totality of Valmec’s shares.
Mr. Marco Moreschi is the sole directore since may 2020. The technical staff that managed the company since its foundation is still part of the new team and with its thirty-years know how it is a strategic asset to relaunch the company.
